What we collect

Game Alley (playgamealley.com) lets you play browser games without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details to play.

We assign an anonymous session identifier (a cookie) so your progress signals, highlights, saved games and avatar can survive page reloads. You can optionally generate a save code to move that anonymous profile to another browser. The save code is a random credential — it contains no personal information.

Cookies

We use strictly functional cookies: a language preference, an anonymous session id, and (for operators only) an admin session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We use a first-party HttpOnly audience cookie for up to 31 days to deduplicate anonymous active-user estimates. This strictly limited cookie does not depend on optional analytics consent and is not used for attribution, advertising, or cross-site tracking. The server turns it into a temporary HMAC input to update UTC HLL registers; the database stores only aggregate date, register and rank values. We do not store the cookie or HMAC input, build individual browsing profiles, or present this estimate as an exact person count.

Statistics

Gameplay events (game started, quit, score, session length) are recorded against the anonymous session and aggregated daily into per-game statistics such as play counts and average session length. We also keep daily aggregate counts for saved-game and install actions by device class and language. Prompt frequency is stored only in this browser so we do not repeat the same request too often. We do not build individual browsing profiles.

Shared content

Highlights you choose to share get a public link that anyone with the URL can open. You can switch a highlight back to private or delete it from the Highlights page at any time.

Your choices

We do not sell data. We do not share data with advertisers. Data lives on our own servers and is retained only as long as needed to operate the service. To ask for removal of your anonymous data or a shared highlight, contact support@playgamealley.com.
